You Are the Light: from the Old Masters to PlatiGleam

You have just seen my PlatiGleam paintings in the exhibition “Afeições Narrativas”, alongside Paula Rego, at Portugal’s National Pantheon. PlatiGleam is a pigmentless technique I created, which only reveals itself when the visitor becomes the source of light.

Other PlatiGleam paintings are in the permanent collections of Batalha Monastery, over 600 years old, and Borobudur in Indonesia, the largest Buddhist temple in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, around 1,200 years old. Since 2023, over 1.8 million people have seen them.

Free online talk: You Are the Light, from the Old Masters to PlatiGleam To accompany the exhibition at Portugal’s National Pantheon, I am giving a free online talk on how the great masters painted, and how that relates to my PlatiGleam paintings. The talk is exclusive to subscribers of my mailing list.
